The Task Force for a Sustainable Galloway was Mayor-appointed in 2008 in response to the signing of the US Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement. The group is made up of Township employees, Township business representatives, Township residents and members of the
Richard Stockton College community. Our mission is to reduce the carbon footprint of Galloway through the promotion of energy efficiency and conservation, environmental education and the implementation of sustainable practices.
Galloway Township one of only a few towns in New Jersey that have achieved Sustainable Jersey SILVER Certification thus far. The Go Green Galloway team is extremely active and has accomplished a number of actions that are all targeted at reducing the carbon footprint of
Galloway Township and creating a healthy, sustainable place to live, work and play.
