CDS Arrests Dominate This Week's Police Blotter
All information was provided by the Galloway Township Police Department.
Information for the Galloway Township Police Blotter for the dates Jan. 23-29, 2012 has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The Galloway Township Police Department responded to 1,016 calls for service. Of those calls, 98 were Emergency Medical Calls, 14 were Fire Calls, six were Domestic Violence Calls, and 13 were Motor Vehicle Accidents. There were 20 total arrests made, including four DWI, and 99 tickets were issued.
* One automobile was burglarized, on East Waveland Avenue on Jan. 27. Also on Jan. 27, buildings were burglarized on East Oakbourne Avenue, Meadow Ridge Road and West Hayes Avenue. On Jan. 26, a building was burglarized on South Odessa and South Nectar avenues.
* Cyrena M. Reres, 18, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Paul Smith on Jan. 26 for DWI, obstruction and hindering apprehension. She was released on summonses.
* Brian R. Terry, 33, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Jacqueline Crocker on Jan. 26 for obstruction. He was released on a summons.
* Juan A. Herrera, Jr. 22, of Absecon, was arrested by Ptl. William Schroer on Jan. 27 for possession of CDS. He was released on a summons.
* Caleb A. Bostic, 20, of Egg Harbor, and Lindsey G. Zuber, 20, of Weymouth, were arrested by Ptl. Robert Bauer on Jan. 27 for hindering apprehension. Bostic was released and Zuber was lodged in the Atlantic County Jusctice Facility for failure to post $750 bail on an outstanding warrant.
* Christopher D. Smith, 24, of Egg Harbor, was arrested by Ptl. Hiram Melendez on Jan. 28 for DWI following a hit and run accident. He was released on a summons.
* Salomon Jean, Jr., 29, of Hamilton Township, was arrested by Ptl. Kerry Baerman on Jan. 29 for DWI following a two vehicle accident. He was released on a summons.
* David Sanford, Jr., 26, of Tuckerton, was arrested by Ptl. Kevin Costa on Jan. 29 for possession of CDS. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail.
* Luke A. Witherspoon III, 23, of Egg Harbor Township, was arrested by Ptl. Kevin Jorgensen on Jan. 30 for hindering apprehension. He was released on a summons.
* Joshua Suriano, 19, of Egg Harbor, was arrested by Ptl. Ronald Gorneau on Jan. 30 for DWI. He was released on a summons.
