UPDATED: CVS in Smithville Closed With a Police Presence in the Area Following Armed Robbery
The store is closed until further notice.
The CVS in Smithville on Route 9 and Moss Mill Road is closed until further notice. Galloway Township Police are in the area, and have confirmed there was an armed robbery.
No further information is immediately available.
It was unclear if the armed robbery is related to two recent robberies at the location. On Dec. 29, 2012 and Jan. 8, 2013, the store was robbed by a woman allegedly carrying a gun for large amounts of prescription drugs. Galloway Township Police believe one woman is responsible for both robberies.
The suspect in those incidents is described as a 5-foot-tall white female in her 20's or 30's with blonde, shoulder length hair. She wore a mask, black leather jacket, black pants and gloves, police said. A reward of up to $2,500 has been offered for any information leading to an arrest in that case.
