Ebose Eigbe Among Galloway School District Spelling Bee Winners
Eigbe competed in last year's Scribbs National Spelling Bee.
Galloway Township Middle School seventh-grader Ebose Eigbe made it to the Scribbs National Spelling Bee last year, and might be on his way back this year.
Eigbe, who missed the cut on points despite spelling both his words correctly last year, won the middle school’s Spelling Bee, held on Feb. 22.
He captured the title by correctly spelling the word, ‘electrolysis,’ according to Middle School Assistant Principal Carl Dolente.
He will now compete in the Regional Spelling Bee March 23 at Absegami High School.
He will be joined by Alexander Rupsee, a fifth-grader who won the Smithville Elementary School’s Spelling Bee, and Reeds Road winner Rhiannon Ginnetti.
Roland Rogers will hold its Spelling Bee today, March 1, and Arthur Rann will hold its Spelling Bee March 7.
