Eleven Homes on Gull Wing Court Evacuated Due to Gas Leak

A resident was attempting to remove a stump when he broke a gas line.

Eleven residences on Gull Wing Court were evacuated Friday morning, Feb. 22, when a resident attempting to remove a tree stump punctured a gas main, according to Fire Chief Tim McKenna.

There was no fire, no one was injured and the residents are already returning to their homes, McKenna said.

McKenna believed the resident attempted to remove the stump by hand and using a smallt tractor.
