Five Things You Need to Know

Local band Resident Stone performs Saturday night.

1. Don't forget to listen to Local Editor Anthony Bellano on The Soul Connection with Raymond Tyler this morning at 11 a.m. on WLFR 91.7 FM.     

2. A Beef-N-Brew for the Absegami crew team will be held at the Oyster Creek Inn Saturday night from 7-10 p.m. All-you-can-eat roast beef, ziti, chicken tenders, desserts and drinks.  DJ 2 Snaps Up Productions will entertain and there will be over $1300 in raffle items and a 50/50. All proceeds support equipment and team expenses. Tickets are $25 per person.

3. The Emanon Players' production of Footloose begins tonight at Absegami High School at 7:30, and runs through the weekend. Tickets are $10.

4. Local band Resident Stone performs for the first time locally since signing with its new label Saturday night at Le Grand Fromage in Atlantic City. They are set to take the stage at 11 p.m., but the doors open at 8 p.m.

5. Galloway Patch is always accepting nominations for the Whiz Kid feature. This is any exceptional child. Nominations can be e-mailed to Anthony.Bellano@patch.com. This week’s Whiz Kid is Absegami wrestler Kevin Stadtmueller.
