Galloway Man Arrested Near Police Station For Possession of Weapons, CDS Paraphernalia
Stephen Foy was also in possession of an imitation handgun.
Galloway Township Police arrested a Galloway man for possession of prohibited weapons, an imitiation handgun and CDS parphernalia following an Ocean City Police broadcast of an incident in that city Tuesday afternoon, June 5, Galloway Police announced Tuesday night.
Ocean City Police broadcast information regarding an incident in its jurisdiction involving a man who was said to be in possession of a handgun, but the man left before police arrived, Galloway Police said.
Shortly thereafter, at 1:13 p.m., Galloway Det. Ro Latoracca found the car belonging the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Stephen Foy of Galloway Township, at Imagination Station, the playground located near the police department, municipal complex and Atlantic County Library Galloway Branch. Several officers reported to the scene, where they arrested Foy, police said.
Foy was found to be in possession of an imitation handgun, a stun gun, and imitation playing cards with sharp metal edges, police said. He also had CDS paraphernalia, according to police.
He was arrested by Special Officers Ronald Stephensen and Przemyslaw Ryba, and charged with possession of an imitation handgun, two counts possession of prohibited weapons, and possession of CDS paraphernalia, according to police.
Foy posted bail, set at $75,000, and was released, pending court, police said.
