Galloway Residents Deserve a Councilman Who's Fully Invested in the Township

Ersi Tollja takes issue with John Mooney's ruling that Tom Bassford should be allowed to continue to be on council.

To the editor:

Recently Atlantic County Superintendent of Elections John Mooney ruled that Galloway Councilman Tom Bassford was determined to be a Galloway resident based on a bureaucratic technicality.

Even though he works and has an address in Pennsylvania, it was decided that someone who does not reside in Galloway knows what’s best for us. The residents of Galloway are tired of these political shell games.

Being part of a community is about more then just some numbers on the side of a mail box. Galloway needs leaders that are fully invested in our community.

Maybe Mooney being a former council member and resident of Galloway had something to do with it. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

I'm wondering where Bassford pays taxes?...Pa?...NJ?....Both?...Neither?....He's as fake as a $3 bill.
