Lt. Gov. Guadagno to Tour Atlantic County Barrier Islands Impacted by Sandy
She'll visit Longport, Margate and Ventnor today.
Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno will tour areas of the county impacted by Superstorm Sandy today, Nov. 30, the Governor’s Office announced Thursday night, Nov. 29.
Guadagno begins in Longport, at 11 a.m., which will include an appearance at Longport Borough Hall, 2305 Atlantic Avenue, according to the Governor’s Office.
Guadagno will next travel to Margate City, with a 12:45 p.m. appearance scheduled at the Margate School, 8103 Winchester Avenue, according to the Governor’s Office.
The tour concludes in Ventnor City. Guadagno is scheduled to appear at the Ventnor City Municipal Complex, 6201 Atlantic Avenue, at 2 p.m., according to the Governor’s Office.
All three barrier islands were evacuated prior to Sandy’s arrival in October. Atlantic City and Brigantine were both evacuated, as well, but Guadagno is not scheduled to visit either of those islands.
President Barack Obama and Gov. Chris Christie toured Atlantic City and Brigantine following Sandy on Oct. 31. The two participated in a nationally televised press conference from Brigantine.
