POLL: Will You Go To/Ask Questions at Thursday's Meeting

The public will be able to question candidates for the vacant council seat.

Thursday night's special meeting offers Galloway Township residents a unique opportunity.

The three people nominated by the Republican Committee for the seat left vacant when Dennis Kleiner resigned on June 25 will be in attendance, answering questions from council as it determines which of the three candidates will be the next to join council.

For the first time, residents will be able to ask questions of the candidates for the position. Candidates include Frank Lucarelli, John Mooney and Robert Chester.

Will you be in attendance, asking questions? Who do you most look forward to questioning?

It's always a good thing to include the Galloway residents in the process. In the end, Council will appoint the candidate they think is most qualified but allowing a Q & A session gives people some insite into who will be representing them for the remainder of 2012.

I only hope council ask some difficult questions, and not leave it up to the public. For exampl, why not a bussinessman or woman from White horse pike area or someone from the western part of Galloway, why do we need these hand picked yes people, that are so closly related to the MACHINE.Mr McElwee, you look like a shoe in from what I hear..
