Ray's List: The Obama Song

Barbara Sheree's manager speaks about her song "Yes We Can."

alumni has taken the world by storm during the past five years.

She has released a successful R&B CD that has received constant airplay on local FM stations 91.7 WLFR and 96.1 FM WTTH. Sheree has performed for millions live during the broadcast of NBC’s hit show Clash Of The Choirs in 2007. Sheree killed her cover of Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama” on the Clash’s highest rated /finale night. Sheree has also been on a Christmas Special with Patti Label, opened for Keith Sweat, and the list of doors opened by her great voice and warm personality grows.

Now, while Sheree is headlining nightly in a luxury hotel in Morroco, her voice is primed to help President Barack Obama as he seeks another term in office. A few famous dance remix producers have taken Sheree’s vocal on the song “Yes We Can” written for President Obama, and have people moving on the dance floor like never before.

In today’s world right after people hear the song in the club or on the radio or here on Patch, they can go right to iTunes and buy the download. What makes Sheree’s “Yes We Can” even more interesting is that when you buy the dance song by download a portion of the proceeds will go directly to President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

Since Sheree was unable to be on video herself this time around, I spoke to her manager and Absecon resident, Robert Williams.
