Ray's List Live: Malcolm Ali Davis

The 14-year Galloway resident has a voice all his own.

Four quick facts about Malcolm Ali Davis.

  1. Won’t Quit Till He’s A Star On Broadway: Well actually, Davis has already been a star on Broadway. As a youngster, Davis played young Simba in Disney’s Broadway production of The Lion King
  2. The Kid’s Alright: It seems you can’t turn on the TV without seeing reports of kids flash mobbing or something that ranges from stupid to negative. Davis is a rising star with his head screwed on straight.
  3. Songs in the Key of Life: I credit Davis, his mother and his music teacher Terry Showers with using Davis’ voice to showcase the best music ever made. There are tons of singers in this area with amazing talent and because of their youth, they try and compete with singers like Britney Spears or Rhianna. These singers lose listeners who would appreciate their talent by doing music that’s 20 minutes old, microwavable and not very good. Malcolm Ali Davis uses his unique voice to enrich the legacy of music by Stevie Wonder, Al Green and other masters of the genre. Davis gets listeners on his side very quickly by shinning on songs that people love and have loved for generations.
  4. What More Can I Say: There’s nothing more that needs to be said. Enjoy this video recorded live at The Flagship’s Blue Water Grill on Tuesday, July 19. Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 3, I will be hosting an open mic/talent show at The Blue Water Grill from 8 to 11 p.m. This event will be weekly and admission is free. I invite all Galloway residents with talent to come so that you can be featured right here on Ray’s List Live! You do not need to be from Galloway to perform on the show. You must be from the Galloway area to be featured on Ray’s List Live.
