A special exhibition of images relating to the College’s 40th Anniversary of Teaching is currently on display on the campus of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

The selection of more than 70 photos is mounted in hallways near F-Wing and the College Library, and adjacent to Alton Auditorium (A-Wing) on the Galloway campus. Additional images will soon appear in Lower K-Wing.

The pictures are a collaborative effort between the graphics department at Stockton, Professor Ken Tompkins and Dean Robert Gregg of the School of Arts and Humanities.  Tompkins and Gregg are co-editors of the book, Reaching 40: The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey from which the images are gleaned. They depict the earliest days of the College inside the former Mayflower Hotel building on the Atlantic City boardwalk, through present day.

“The pictures reflect the changing times at Stockton over four decades, and capture the spirit of the institution, which in many ways is the same as at the time of its founding,” said Graphics Production Supervisor Julie Bowen.

Bowen said alumni and friends of the College have plenty of time to view the photos as the exhibit would be on display through August, 2012.
