My Clock Must Have Wings, Because Time Flew!

When I logged onto Facebook today, most of the people I graduated with were updating their statuses about their younger siblings graduating high school. I remember when we were in high school, those siblings seemed like they'd stay little forever.

I'm sure when we were graduating the "this seems so far away for me" thoughts ran through their heads. I bet now they are thinking "I can't believe this day came." And in two years, they'll think "I can't believe that was 2 years ago!"    

My little brother graduated 8th grade last night. While I walked down the halls of GTMS, I thought back to my 8th grade graduation. I remember thinking, "Wow! High school is next! Four years until I graduate high school!" Now I look back going"Wow, GTMS...I graduated here 7 years ago and graduated high school 3 years ago."  Time truely does fly by.   

 In May, I received my Associate's degree from Atlantic Cape. At first, I despised the thought of going to Atlantic Cape. At one point I said, "I'd rather not go to school than go there."

But now, I realize how lucky I was to attend Atlantic Cape. If I hadn't gone there, I wouldn't be where I am today. I wouldn't be here talking to you. To any high school graduates attending Atlantic Cape, you are LUCKY. It may not seem like it at first, but you are. I promise. You just need to go in with an open mind.

I wish the class of 2011 the best of luck with their futures. Whether they graduated from 8th grade, high school, or college.
