Tornado Watch Passes Without Severe Weather

The sun is expected to return Tuesday and early forecasts call for a dry weekend.

A tornado watch ended at 5 p.m. Monday (Oct. 7) and a line of storms passed Galloway Township leaving no damage and bringing no major wind gusts.

Rain, some possibly heavy, is expected to continue into early Monday evening, and the sun is predicted to return by Tuesday afternoon along with mild temperatures with highs about 70 degrees.

Steady northeast winds are forecast for the remainder of the week and should keep the surf rough. The ocean temperature was 71 degrees on Monday afternoon.

The early forecast calls for dry weather for the Columbus Day weekend.
