Mike Spagnola said his store sells art and music from local artists. Underground sells local music, with all the profits going to the musicians. The store takes a small percentage of the profits from art sales.

Local artist Chris Ford has had two paintings sold in the store within the last month. He will be among the local artists exhibiting their work this weekend, as will Steven Vincent of Angry Drunk Graphics. Vincent has two comic books for sale at the Underground, and his comics are nationally published.

“We have seasoned artists coming and we have new artists,” Spagnola said. “Artists who are 16 and 17 years old will be here. A lot of them are excited to meet like minds.”

There will be a wide array of art and artists on display.

“Everything will be cutting edge, but all genres will be represented, from traditional to low brow,” Spagnola said.

The art will be for sale, as well. Entry is free for the artists, and the walk is nearly filled to capacity. Those wishing to participate can still email underground92@yahoo.com.

“They’re here to rub elbows with other artists. It’s all about exhibiting,” Spagnola said. “They want to have their name and their work recognized.”
