Good, Better , Best....

Today, we are discussing an upcoming event and how things evolve when you start out to do something good.

Let me go to a quote, you know how I love those: GOOD, BETTER, BEST, NEVER LET IT REST 'TIL YOUR GOOD IS BETTER AND YOUR BETTER IS BEST !!!

So this time I had the idea to work on a fashion event. First of all, I have loved fashion since I was very little. Being in the Arts, studying the Theatre/ Art/ and all that goes with it, fashion was always a passion.

Now that I have taken that to a new level in my life, I wanted a place for newer models, shorter models, very little models, all the ones that break the industry standard mold - to walk.

I'm not saying industry standard is a bad thing; in fact the main event of the show will be with many industry standard models. I AM saying that for some of the others, the OPPORTUNITY isn't always there.

If you know anything about me, and of course from reading my blog, you know that I am all about the OPPORTUNITY. Keep in mind that when you don't take advantage of an opportunity when it presents itself, someone else will. (And you may never get that same opportunity again).

Now remember I always talk about the things that we all do that lead us exactly to where we are. Yes, but you have to use your gut instinct as a guide. When an opportunity presents itself and your gut is just saying this is for me, you have to at least give it a try. It may lead you to something bigger, better. That is what makes our life's journey interesting and exciting.

So on Good Friday evening, March 29, we will be hosting a fashion event at the beautiful Foundation Room of the Showboat Casino. (One of my favorite rooms around).

It is titled, can you guess? GOOD, BETTER, BEST.

So make your Good Friday Better by coming out and having the best time with us! The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. Not only are we featuring a new and up-coming amazing designer, but we will also have some cameo clothes appearances from local shops.

An art display will be in the room and our good friends from the Shoe Society will let you show off your shoes on the pink carpet. The event is going to benefit the Nancy Seid Scholarship Fund.

Nancy passed on from an aggressive brain tumor some years ago. That same brain tumor took my mom also some years ago. I met Nancy's daughter Samara at a golf event and we connected ever since.

Whereas OUR foundation funds go to Brain Cancer Research, the funds for the Seid family go to students excelling in arts/athletics. Keeping our children well-rounded in school is worth more than we can imagine. Arts programs and athletic programs are so important on all levels.

This is why I feel it is important to give upcoming “stars," if you may an opportunity.

Now from one idea, we have a runway show, artists, designers, fashion, fun, helping a great cause and an all around good time.
