The New Children's Museum Jr. Idol Competition
It's been very busy in the Patch these days. ... LOL... I know many of you can relate.

Many of you know that the Jersey Shore Children's Museum had to close it's doors when the Shore Mall closed it's back end. What many of you DON'T know is that the Museum is re-opening in the future. The new place can not be announced just yet, however many people are working behind the scenes to make the new place happen.

So let's talk talent. One of the big annual fundraisers for the museum is going to be a talent competition for the little ones. This year, it is South Jersey Junior Idol and will entertain submissions from children K-8. You can check it all out on the web page. That all said, there will be a live audition set up in Smithville this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Look for the big purple banner that says Children's Museum and you can try out for the South Jersey Junior Idol competition to help the Children's Museum. The museum is a 501-C3 charity.
The actual event will be held at Atlantic Cape Community College on June 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Only the top 40 of the submissions either on line or from the live audition event will be able to grace the stage that evening. So come out this weekend, get more info, visit us on line, or audition in Smithville this weekend and make sure you tell them Ava sent you!
