Hello and welcome to "Our little Blog Patch" from Ava Holly.
Congratulations to Miss India Villanueva, the new Miss Puerto Rico Atlantic County ! India was crowned Friday evening at El Charro Restaurant in Atlantic City. India is an Absegami graduate. She is currently a 4 A STAR model studying hip hop dance and recently Capoera dance. India will be attending ACCC in the Fall and fulfilling her duties as the new Miss Puerto Rico Atlantic County 2013.
This is a small qualifying Pageant that needs the community to get behind and shed some light on it. With only a handful of contestants and no media to be had, the room was still packed with the support of many people. Guest of honor , visiting from Puerto Rico was Junior "Celestino" Ortiz....well known radio host/painter/ musician.
A touching farewell speech was given by last year's winner Nicole Ruiz.
Many great performances were on hand including the beautiful ribbon dance by Miss Puerto Rico 2011, Amanda Martinez. Performances also by Miss Puerto Rico 2008, Angela Martinez - Miss Puerto Rico 2012, Nicole ruiz,
The new PRINCESITA 2013 Deliana Valentin - South Jersey Junior Idol winner in the Junior Category, singer, Juliana Gonzalez and of course, talent performances from the contestants themselves.
India and her court include Mariah ruiz and Iveliz Perez. Congratulations to all the girls...they were all amazingly beautiful and talented.
These girls work hard along with the Pageant staff, directors and parents to make the show special.... It is a very positive experience and should be recognized for it's positive impact on our youth.
DJ Angel, Motives Cosmetics, Yvette, Nidia, San Juan Bautista, all the prestigious judges, and many many more made the event extra special. Gowns were gorgeous !
Amistad, Yalenelis Ramires and Principe Juan Carlos Mendez 2013 also among the court for Atlantic County.
A fun time was had by all. Join the Pageant in the Miss Puerto Rico Parade on August 4th.
