The owners will receive the award at a banquet on Feb. 2.

Simply Sweet Cupcakes has been named Egg Harbor City's Business of the Year for 2012 by the Greater Egg Harbor City Chamber of Commerce, the chamber announced on Friday, Jan. 4.

Owners and sisters-in-law Gina Jacquelin Ciaburri, both of the Toms River area, will receive their award during a gala Feb. 2 at the Tuscany House at 72 North Bremen Avenue.

They opened their cupcake business on Philadelphia Avenue in March of last year, and were chosen for their "innovation and commercial achievement, community involvement and contributions toward the city’s downtown revitalization," according to the chamber.
