UPDATED: Atlantic City Electric Reporting Over 2,000 Power Outages in Atlantic City

According to the outage map, 2,408 customers are currently without power.

UPDATE: As of 5:30 a.m., the number of outages in Atlantic City had been reduced to 12. No other Atlantic County town was reporting any outages.

ORIGINAL: According to Atlantic City Electric's outage map, over 2,000 customers in Atlantic City are without power at this hour. However, most of the rest of the county continues to have power.

There are currently 2,408 people without power in Atlantic City, according to the outage map. Some other areas are reporting outages, though the map defines them as "less than five" for the most part. This includes Absecon, which is seeing road closures due to flooding, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Galloway Township isn't reflecting any outages at this time.

The wind advisory in effect for parts of Atlantic County, expired at 1 a.m., according to the National Weather Service out of Mount Holly. An urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect.
