Atlantic City Rail Terminal to Play Host to Emergency Response Drill

The drill takes place Saturday morning.

Local agencies will test their response in case of incidents involving a train when Atlantic City Rail Terminal plays host to an emergency response drill on Saturday, Feb. 16, beginning at 8 a.m., New Jersey Transit announced on Wednesday.

The exercise will last about four hours, according to NJ Transit, but train service is not expected to be impacted. Those using the Atlantic City rail system may notice an increased emergency personnel and police presence, and residents may notice activity in the staging area along Bacharach Boulevard near the rear of the terminal.

The New Jersey Transit Police Department will conduct the exercise, along with state and local partners, including: the Atlantic City Police Department; Atlantic City Fire Department; Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management; Atlantic County Office of Emergency Management; the New Jersey EMS Taskforce; Exceptional Transport EMS; and AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
