Atlantic County Rescinds Order Keeping Emergency Personnel off the Street

Emergency management was told to stay off the streets as of 4 p.m.

Atlantic County has rescinded its orders keeping emergency personnel off the street, Galloway Township Police Chief Patrick Moran confirmed Monday night, Oct. 29.

Emergency management personnel had been called off the streets as of 4 p.m. due to the arrival of Hurricane Sandy, which has since been downgraded to a tropical storm. The order was lifted at 8 p.m.

According to Moran, the Galloway Township Emergency Operations Center is currently establishing a list of downed wires and trees for crews to address.
