AtlantiCare Honors Junior Volunteers, Team Leaders

Eight of those leaders were from Galloway.

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center recently recognized more than 100 junior volunteers, and eight team leaders from Galloway, for their help to the medical center over a six-week period this summer, the medical center announced Wednesday, Sept. 19.

The celebration was held at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus.

Team leaders were recognized for their dedication and service to the medical center and their mentoring of junior volunteers, AtlantiCare representatives said.

The Galloway team leaders included: Karina Chavez, Nichelle Cherry, of Galloway; Shreya Joshi, of Galloway; Zak Karaisz, of Galloway; Ashini Patel, of Galloway; Divya Patel, Nick Rombero and Naman Sachdeva.

The other team leaders included: Jed Baldomar, of Atlantic City;; Alec Divenuto, of Absecon; Heena Patel, of Atlantic City; Danielle Ricciardi, of Absecon;; and Austin Samuel, of Egg Harbor Township.

Each volunteer received a certificate of appreciation and a gift recognizing his or her hours of service to the hospital, representatives said. The 13 to 17-year-old volunteers assisted in a variety of roles, including as greeters, with clerical tasks and with patient activities, according to representatives.
