VIEWFINDER: AtlantiCare Red Dress Reception

AtlantiCare's Red Dress Reception was Thursday night.

The Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center held its fifth Red Dress Reception Thursday night, Feb. 9 at the Smithville Inn.

Proceeds from the event went to AtlantiCare Heart Institute cardiovascular services. Those who attended were invited to wear red to help promote awareness of heart disease.

“Women especially tend to ignore warning signs of heart attack or early heart disease,” said Howard Levite, MD, medical director, The Heart Institute, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, and of the centers Cardiac Catheterization laboratories at ARMC’s Cardiac Catheterization and Rhythm Center and president of the Board of the American Heart Association Central/Southern New Jersey Region. “During February, which is American Heart Month, we hope to create awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women – but it doesn’t have to be.”
