FEMA Establishes Recovery Center at Atlantic City Convention Center

It's open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. every day.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic County officials said Friday morning, Nov. 10.

The Convention Center is located at 1 Convention Boulevard in Atlantic City. The recovery center is in Room 201

The DRC will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, and will provide a full range of assistance services to residents and businesses who suffered property losses as a result of Superstorm Sandy last week, according to county officials.

Those in need can register in person at the DRC; by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362); on the Web at www.DisasterAssistance.gov; or by smartphone at m.fema.gov. County officials recommend registering before arriving at the DNC to speed up the registration process.

All forms of registration require a social security number, proof of residency at the location they are claiming, proof of insurance coverage and bank information (for electronic funds transfer to an account).

County officials encourage those in need to access additional information through the FEMA Disaster Assistance web site at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or at www.FEMA.gov.
