Five Things You Need To Know

1.     Roland Rogers Elementary School’s Back to School Night has been rescheduled for Oct. 2, 6 p.m.

2.     Galloway Township’s 2012 Movies in the Park series continues Friday night, Sept. 21 with The Lorax. The free movie is scheduled to begin when it gets dark out. The movies are shown at Patriot Lake at the Galloway Municipal Complex at 300 East Jimmie Leeds Road. The final Movies at the Park date for the year will be Oct. 26. 3.     Brian Johnson, owner of Herban Legend in Historic Smithville, will host a Drum Circle this Saturday, Sept. 22. Learn how to relax with the rhythmic sounds of all types of drums. All are welcome to participate or just observe. There will be some instruments made available-first come, first served! Or bring your own percussion instrument. The event is free.

4.     The Galloway Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25 has officially been rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 24. That means there will be a council meeting, a Galloway School Board of Education meeting and Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District meeting all in one night.

5.     Royal Suites Healthcare and Rehabilitation will host a Community Yard Sale to benefit the Community Food Bank on Oct. 6. Non-perishable food donations will also be collected that day.  If you don't want to lug your unsold treasures home- Family Service Association will pick them up as a donation to their Thrift Shop at the end of the day. Call 748-9900  by Oct. 4 to reserve your spots. Non-profits and community groups get tables free of charge.
