As Tuesday morning dawned, predictions of a considerable amount of rain hitting the area turned to reality. By the time this storm is done more than three inches could fall making for wet roads and dreary days ahead.
The National Weather Service predicted the rain would start overnight Monday into Tuesday with the bulk of the storm settling over the area today. That could mean anywhere from half an inch to three quarters of an inch during the day on Tuesday and possibly another half an inch tonight.
There is at least a 50 percent chance of the storm continuing to impact the area through Wednesday though the predicted rainfall is only between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. There is also a chance of Thunderstorms hitting during Wednesday.
It may be rainy, but it will also be warm with a high of 68 predicted for Tuesday and a low only dropping down to 60. Wednesday will be considerably hotter with a high of 77 before dropping down to around 55 degrees according to the weather service.
The chances of precipitation greatly diminish Wednesday night and by Thursday the forecast calls for sunny conditions with a high near 73. The rest of the week looks to be rain fre with the temperature staying right around the 70's during the day.
