Beginning September 10, the following beaches will be protected from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

ADOPT A BEACH PROGRAM
The City of Margate in association with the Beautification Board is proud to announce a new program for the residents and visitors. The adopt a beach program is a way to show your support for our great city and the fine beaches that we are lucky enough to have.

Kayaking and surfing are allowed only at specific beaches. Contact Beach Patrol Headquarters for those locations.

Hobie Cat sailing is allowed by permit only.

Animals are not permitted on the Beach as per the Margate City Code Chapter 75-6Q.

Beach Badges are required for everyone 12 and older when on the beaches during the season, which runs from the 3rd week in June through Labor Day. The badges should be conspicuous and available upon request by a Beach Badge Inspector. The Badge requirement is hereby suspended on Thursdays throughout the summer as part of the *Thrilling Thursdays* event sponsored by the Margate Business Association.

Badges are sold beginning April 1st at the Martin Bloom Community Pavilion at Huntington & the Beach from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Sunday and City Hall, 1 S. Washington Avenue during the hours of 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may also reserve your badges by sending a check to the Office of the City Clerk, 1 S. Washington Avenue with the correct amount and badges will be held for you so that you may pick them up at your convenience.

Beach Badge Rates

Pre-Season Rates (April - May): $7.00 for 12 years old & over
Senior Citizen Badges (65 and over) - $3.50. (only available through May 31st)

June 1st all badges are $15.00

Beach Badge Gift Certificates are available all year long. These make a great gift for birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc., they are sold at pre-season rates if purchased from the day after Labor Day through May 31. Any certificates purchased during the season are sold at seasonal rates.
