The most recent snow storm isn't as bad as some have been this winter, but it's tonight that has Acting Galloway Township Manager Steve Bonanni most concerned.

According to the National Weather Service out of Mount Holly, 4.2 inches of snow fell on Galloway Township overnight. According to Bonanni, the Public Works Department has had trucks at work since 3 a.m.

Beginning with six vehicles, the Public Works staff is busy clearing the way for motorists.

"A majority of the streets should be cleared by then," Bonanni said. "We have trucks available if the streets should ice up."

The Galloway school system is closed for the day, as is the Greater Egg Harbor Regional School district, which includes Absegami High School and Cedar Creek.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey delayed the beginning of classes until 10:30 a.m.

Tonight's scheduled town council meeting will go on as planned, according to Bonanni.
