Programs and activities scheduled to take place at the Atlantic County Library System's Galloway Branch next Wednesday, Oct. 3, have been canceled due to a planned power outage, county officials announced on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The outage will last from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and the library will reopen from 4-8 p.m., county officials said. However, if power is not restored by 4 p.m., the library will remain closed until Thursday morning, 9 a.m., county officials said. In case of severe weather, the rain date is Oct. 4, same hours, county officials said.
The power outage is planned in order to allow for work on electric lines that service the library and the municipal complex, county officials said.
During the outage, Galloway residents are welcome to visit any of the library system’s other branches in Brigantine, Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Township, Hammonton, Longport, Mays Landing, Pleasantville, Somers Point and Ventnor, as well as the Buena Community Reading Center at Buena Regional High School.
