Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect Until 9 p.m.

It's expected to hit Egg Harbor City at 8:15.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning Tuesday night, Sept. 18, even as the Tornado Watch remained in effect. Both were expected to expire at 9 p.m.

The storm is expected to hit Somers Point and Ocean City by 8:10 p.m., and be in Egg Harbor City and Margate at 8:15.

The storm is expected to produce damaging winds of 60 miles an hour, and were moving northeast at 40 miles an hour.

The warning is in effect for Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May and Ocean counties.

A flood advisory is also in effect until 9 p.m. for poor drainage areas in Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean, Burlington and Monmouth counties.
