Water Watch International to Honor Sandy First Responders in Atlantic City

The local chapter at Stockton College will recognize first responders on Dec. 12 at Angelo's Fairmount Tavern.

Water Watch International will honor first responders from Superstorm Sandy, Richard Stockton College of New Jersey officials announced on Friday. Water Watch International will partner with the Stockton College chapter of the group for the event.

Water Watch that unites those with a common interest in water quality issues as a means to expand their knowledge and experience, according to college officials.

The event takes place Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 3-5 p.m. at Angelo's Fairmount Tavern, college officials said. Awards will be presented to local police, fire, emergency management service workers, public employees and utility company workers, among others, and celebrity chef Terry French will prepare a special meal, college officials said.

French won Food Network’s “Extreme Chef." Comedian LaTice will also perform, college officials said.

"It will be an afternoon of awards, good food and gratitude for the brave men and women who played such a critical role in getting us through this storm,” President and Executive Director of Water Watch International Joel Fogel said.
