Creative Writing Workshop: Memory in Poetry and Creative Nonfiction

Jenna McCoy, an English teacher in Edison, New Jersey, will cover a number of creative writing genres with an emphasis on memoir and poetry.  Participants will read and discuss work by famous and local writers to identify writing techniques to apply to their own written works.  McCoy’s writing has appeared in Polaris, The Curbside Quotidian, and Adventum Magazine, where her essay "Cinder and Snow" won first prize in the 2012 Ridge to River contest for outdoor creative nonfiction.  Visit the Noyes Museum, call 609-652-8848 or email Jillian at jillian@noyesmuseum.org to register.
