Community Corner

BAG IT

The Go Green Galloway,  a task force initiated by the Township of Galloway, is organizing our 1st ever “BAG IT” day on Saturday, April 30th.  The objective is to encourage our community, for one day, to utilize reusable bags instead of plastic.  Ultimately, the hope is that the residents will continue to utilize the reusable bags on all their subsequent shopping trips.

Volunteers will be stationed outside the entrance to a number of downtown Galloway stores  to distribute free reusable bags to shoppers and encourage their use instead of plastic. Our goal is to educate the public of the damage that plastic bags can cause to our environment and encourage the use of reusable bags as a convenient alternative.
