Community Corner

Make A Difference Day

In partnership with Galloway Townships Clean Communities program, we are inviting you to help join us as we clean up the environment.  Over 200,000 people visit the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge each year.  They come from every part of the world.Volunteers will help clean up along the refuge's 8-mile Wildlife Drive.  Others, who enjoy gardening, can help weed our native plant garden.  You must call 609-652-1665 to register by October 3rd.  Coffee, hot chocolate, donuts and bagels are provided.  Free lunch and giveaway for all volunteers.  Cleanup begins at 8:30 a.m.Forsythe Refuge will also be celebrating the opening of our Children's Nature Discovery area at 11:00 a.m.  In this area, children can explore and connect with nature, learn respect for the environment and develop a lifelong interest and participation in the conservation, protection and enhancement of fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats.  The Nature Discovery area has been created through the efforts of refuge Friends and volunteers, the Noyes Museum, Eagle Scouts and other community organizations
