More than 100 donors and 170 registered golfers helped to raise more than $105,000 at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey’s annual Golf Classic at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club Sept. 26.
"Our focus is on supporting Stockton students, and the Golf Classic provides an opportunity for the community to engage with us in our effort. We received an outpouring of support from our sponsors and the community, and we are truly grateful," said Dr. Philip T. Ellmore, chief development officer.
The Stockton Golf Classic was played on the Bay and Pines courses at historic Stockton Seaview and benefits the College Foundation Scholarship Fund.
Casey Klingert of Egg Harbor Township, Adam Kripitz of Margate, Nick Pantilione of Absecon and Larry Silk of Somers Point were on the winning foursome sponsored by Parke Bank of Sewell, New Jersey. Carol Giordano of Moorestown, Tracy Santoro of Margate, Bonnie Spector of Longport and Dotsie Tuscano of Brigantine were on the top women’s team.

LPGA pro Laura Diaz and her coach and father, PGA pro Ron Philo, Sr., presented a putting and chipping demonstration before the tournament to help players improve their short game. “I have been involved in many golf outings and by far, this is the best outing I have been involved in. I could not have picked a better foursome (I came as a single) and Laura Diaz helped me with my golf game,” said Joe Quattrock of Lanoka Harbor in Ocean County, father of Stockton sophomore Alex.
