Obituary: Bob DeFillipo

Robert J. DeFillipo,“Bob”, age 69 of Galloway, passed away suddenly in Absecon on November 19, 2012. Robert, predeceased by his parents, Louis and Nancy DeFillipo, was born in Plainfield, NJ.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nancy (Santa Barbara), his children Dena M., Michael J. (Dawn), and Nicole Hyde (Glenn), and his adoring grandchildren Chelsea, Taylor, Nikolas, Dylan, Rachel and Jack.

Bob has been the owner of the Crafting Cellar for the past 14 years in the Historic Towne of Smithville.  He was recently interviewed by Brian Ianieri of the Press of Atlantic City, where he was featured in an article showcasing his love and admiration for his work.  Additionally, he spent almost a decade as the owner of three clothing stores, and then nearly twenty-five years in the automobile sales industry.  Bob proudly served his country in the US Navy. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday, Nov. 25th from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM, and Monday, Nov. 26th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway, NJ 08205, (609) 641-0001.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Nov. 26th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Assumption Church), 146 S.
