New Councilman Thanks Voters for Support

To the residents of Galloway:                                                     

Although the election results have not been certified yet, I strongly feel the need to express my sincere and heart felt appreciation to all that voted in Tuesday's election.

Galloway faces many issues that will be addressed between now and the end of 2013. By voting me as your new councilman, you have mandated that I serve you the people. I am humbled by this trust and faith you have placed in me and I take it very seriously.

I have already taken steps to educate myself on the current State of the Township and hope to "hit the ground running" when I am sworn in. The numbers from the election show I received 6,964 votes and my opponent received 6,265.

Most people would say a difference of 699 votes is a convincing victory. But I  look at those numbers and realize that 6,265 residents of Galloway were not convinced that I am up to the task of serving their best interests. My mission is to prove to them that I share their concerns and will work hard every day to improve the quality of life in our community. I assume most of those people don't know me and are unaware of my sincerity and strong moral work ethic.

If that's the case I ask you this: If you should see me around town, stop me. Introduce yourself and tell me your thoughts and concerns about what is wrong or what is right with Galloway. I promise to listen and act whenever I can to make things easier and safer or more pleasant for you and your family. 

I am encouraged by the fact that current members of council have already reached out to congratulate me on my victory. I have no doubt that I will be able to do some good things with this team of dedicated public servants.

I look forward to the coming term with excitement and anticipation. I look forward to meeting as many residents as I can. Please accept my sincerest gratitude and thank you for making me your councilman.
