The man allegedly entered the bank at about 9:25 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said. There is no indication any weapon was used in the alleged crime, according to police.
The suspect is described as a white male with red hair, about 6-feet-tall with a slim-to-medium build and a short beard and mustache. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue or green shorts over top of gray sweatpants, and white or gray gardening-style gloves.
He was allegedly transported to and from the bank using a local taxi, which was later located with its driver in Pleasantville, police said. Police detained and questioned the driver, but don’t believe he was an accomplice in the robbery.
Absecon and Pleasantville police are investigating the robbery, with help from the FBI.
