Atlantic City Man Dies Following Early Morning Fight

Jose Alejandro was killed following an altercation outside Culmone's early Monday morning.

An Atlantic City man has died following a fight early Monday morning, June 25, outside a local bar, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced.

Jose Alejandro, 42, of Arctic Avenue was found unresponsive by Atlantic City Police when they responded to the scene of a fight involving several men with bottles outside Culmone's bar on Florida and Atlantic avenues around 2:15 a.m., Housel said.

Alejandro was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus where he was subsequently pronounced dead, according to Housel.

An autopsy has been scheduled for later today, and next of kin has been notified, Housel said. No charges have been filed at this time, according to Housel.

The homicide is being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and Atlantic City Police Department, Housel said.
