Egg Harbor City Man Who Damaged Galloway Police Car Arrested

Corey Herold, 24, damaged a police car's hood while cops were responding to a disturbance at Tailgaters.

An Egg Harbor City man who damaged a police car while posing for a photo later posted on Instagram has been arrested, Galloway Township Police announced on Friday, March 29.

Corey Herold, 24, climbed on to the hood of a Galloway Police car in the parking lot at Tailgaters Bar and Grill while officers were responding to a disturbance at the bar on Sunday, March 24.

Herold was perched on the hood of the car with his hands in the air, displaying his middle finger for the camera, police said. He posed for a photo that was later posted on Instagram with the caption, “This I do when I get tipsy #copcars #coolkid #yolo," according to police. The hood of the car was damaged as a result of the incident, police said.

The photograph was brought to the attention of the Galloway Township Police Department on Friday, March 29. Herold was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal mishchief and disorderly conduct.

He was released on a summons, pending a future court appearance, police said.
