Egg Harbor Township Woman Found in Hamilton was Murdered, Police Say

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hamilton Township Police Department are investigating the discovery of the body of an Egg Harbor Township woman found dead on the side of the road in Hamilton Township Friday as a homicide, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced late Friday night.

A passing driver reported the discovery of the body of 25-year-old Joyce Y. Vanderhoff of Egg Harbor Township on the side of County Road 559-Weymouth Road near mile marker 24. The driver reported the discovery to Hamilton Township Police, who responded to the scene at 9:51 a.m.

Her death was ruled a homicide, and her family has been notified.
