Fire Victim in Stable Condition

Margaret Cronley is in stable condition after a fire at her home left her with facial damage on Thursday.

Margaret Cronley, 51, is in stable condition one day after a fire ravaged her home, killed her dog and landed her in the hospital with facial injuries.

Neighbor Doris Sinclair, 71, who was transported to the hospital for chest pains, was admitted for overnight testing and may be released today. Two firefighters who were admitted with minor head burns and smoke inhalation, respectively, were both treated and released.

Multiple fire and police departments and ambulance squads reported to a fire at Navajo Court in Society Hill Thursday morning for a fire, and discovered Cronley outside her home. She was airlifted to Temple University Hospital.

The home was in a building that houses 24 condominium units. Half the residents were allowed to return to their homes Thursday afternoon, while the other half were at least temporarily displaced.

The fire was rekindled Thursday night, causing damage to the unit above the first floor unit in which the original fire began. Responding firefighters chopped down the bathroom door of that unit, which was covered in soot Thursday night, according to a resident of the unit, Seth Grasso.
