Flood Warning In Effect in Galloway Township

The warning extends through 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

A line of severe thunderstorms is moving across southern New Jersey on Tuesday morning (Aug. 13), and the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning in effect for Galloway Township through 2:45 p.m.

Thunderstorms are expected to dump as much as 3 inches of rain on certain areas.

The warning means that flooding is "imminent or occurring" and urges residents leaving near streams, creeks and other bodies of water to move to higher ground immediately.

NWS forecasters also warned that some storms could bring destructive winds as strong as 60 mph.
