Galloway Police Arrest Suspect in Smithville CVS Robberies

Galloway Township Police have identified the woman arrested in connection with three armed robberies that have taken place at the CVS at Route 9 and Moss Mill Road since Dec. 29.

Deborah Conover, 48, of Galloway, was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery, Galloway Township Police said Thursday night, Jan. 24.

She was arrested following a robbery Thursday morning at 9:48, Lt. Chris Doyle said earlier on Thursday.

As in the first two incidents, the suspect entered the CVS and walked up to the pharmacy, in possession of what appeared to be a gun inside of a plastic bag, Doyle said. The suspect once again demanded pills and money before fleeing the store, Doyle said.

Galloway Police responded to the scene, and officers, detectives and K-9 conducted a search of the area. Conover, who matched the description previously released was located and taken into custody, Doyle said.

She was located on Waterview Drive, Building 21, Galloway Police said Thursday night.

She was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $250,000 cash bail.

CVS was reopened on Thursday afternoon.
