Galloway Police Blotter: Nov. 26-Dec. 2, 2012

Information for the Galloway Township Police Blotter for the dates Nov. 26-Dec. 2, 2012 has been supplied by local law enforcement agencies. All persons named are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The Galloway Township Police Department responded to 887 calls for service. Of those calls, 32 were Emergency Medical Calls, 15 were Fire Calls, 17 were Domestic Violence Calls, and 25 were Motor Vehicle Accidents. There were 24 total arrests made, including two DWI and 99 tickets were issued.

* Buildings were burglarized on Nov. 26 on Pomona Road and on Ebony Tree Lane; and on Dec. 2 on Driftwood Court. A vehicle was burglarized on Dec. 1 on South Willow Avenue.

* John R. Mannering Jr., 53, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Ron Gorneau on Nov. 27 for DWI following a motor vehicle stop. He was released on a summons.

* Robert A. Nelson Jr., 56, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Matthew Worth on Nov. 27 for Obstruction while investigating a suspicious person. He was released on a summons.

* Adam D. Obertlik, 25, of Galloway, was arrested by Det. Bryan Casey on Nov. 28 for Burglary and Theft following a residential burglary investigation. Ptl. Steve Vernon and Cpl. John Kelly assisted with the initial investigation.

* Kyle Snavely, 33, of Galloway, was arrested by Det. Bryan Casey on Nov. 30 for CDS Distribution and Possession of CDS (Heroin and Cocaine) following a motor vehicle stop. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail.

* Christopher D. Carter, 29, of Egg Harbor Township, was arrested by Ptl. Steven Vernon on Dec. 2 for Possession of a Hypodermic Needle following motor vehicle stop. A subsequent search warrant on the vehicle obtained by Det. Ryan Goehringer resulted in both Carter and John E. Heiting III, 44, of Hammonton, being charged with Possession and Distribution of CDS (Methamphetamine). Carter was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $30,000 bail. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Heiting III.

* Ronald Kurtz II, 25, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Robert Bauer on Dec. 2 for Disorderly Conduct while investigating a motor vehicle accident. He was released on a summons.

* Tuan Tran, 26, of Galloway, was arrested by Ptl. Ron Gorneau on Dec. 2 for Possession of CDS (Prescription Pills) and DWI following a motor vehicle stop. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.
