Galloway Police Charge Teen with Possession Following Reports of Gunshot

A 17-year-old from Egg Harbor City was charged with possession of heroin and marijuana after Galloway police reported to a hotel after reports of a gunshot Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4.

Police reported to America's Best Inn on the 300 block of East White Horse Pike following reports of a disturbance on a second floor hotel room at 12:51 p.m.

Several witnesses reported hearing loud arguing and a single gunshot. The occupants of the room were removed and detained, and while no firearm was located, a 17-year-old was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and marijuana consistent with distribution.

Police charged the juvenile with possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute and tampering with evidence. He was released to his mother pending juvenile court.
