Galloway Police Officer Injured in Early Morning Accident

Corporal Greg Bollinger was hospitalized following the accident.

Corporal Greg Bollinger of the was hospitalized with a neck injury following an early morning car accident on Saturday around 6:30 a.m., according to a police press release.

The accident involved two vehicles at the entrance to on Wrangleboro Road and Dalton Drive and, according to the release, Bollinger was responding to a call and using his emergency warning devices when he attempted to pass a Toyota Camry that pulled over, but which then made a U-turn into the passenger side of Bollinger's vehicle.

Bollinger was then transported to by the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad. The driver of the Camry and a passenger of the vehicle refused medical treatment at the scene and both cars were rendered inoperable from the crash, the release said.

A summons was issued to the driver of the Camry, who was a minor, for an improper turn and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, the release said.
