Galloway Teenager Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car While Walking to School

She was hit by a Manahwakin man Monday morning.

An 18-year-old teenage girl from Galloway was hit by a car while walking to school Monday morning, March 25, Galloway Township Police said Monday afternoon.

Rimi Jahan was hit by a 1990 Volvo Sedan while walking to school at 6:49 near the intersection of Wrangleboro and Collins roads Monday morning, police said.

The sedan was being driven by Michael Haluska, 40, of Manahawkin, police said. Jahan was crossing the street without using the crosswalk, police said.

Jahan was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and treated for minor head injuries, police said. The accident remains under investigation.
